Dear Parents,
In order to anticipate the organization of the 2nd semester of the current school year, the teaching team has proposed a modification of the school calendar. The new calendar was voted on during the 2nd school council on Thursday January 28, 2021.
Amendments:
Winter holidays will be shared, one week from Monday 8 to Friday 12 February 2021 (inclusive) and a second week from Monday 22 March to Friday 26 March 2021 (inclusive).
School will be closed on Friday February 5 to allow a bridge during the Sri Lankan National Day. The morning hours of class of that day will be made up for in 2 folds, on Friday afternoons (February 19 and 26, 2021). School will finish at 3PM on those two (02) dates.
Spring holidays will be postponed by one week and will take place from Monday 3 to Friday 14 May 2021 (inclusive).
School periods are thus more balanced and will allow us to work more efficiently distance schooling is to be maintained until the end of the year.
We are also awaiting an official announcement for a possible plan to reopen schools in February. Changing the schedule would allow us to resume classes at the school as soon as it can open.
The above amendments apply to all levels, including kindergarten.
